It would be nice if the supreme court could consider what the experience of unfairness does to people in terms of their health and well-being.

Every time the pro-life and pro-choice factions go at it, I want to roll my eyes, because it is just such a dead issue. Abortion is not going to go away, even if the supreme court takes it away as a legal right. Women will just go back underground, and this time there will be more options. The supreme court by their own actions have taken themselves closer to being another irrelevancy.

But people can't take their property underground. The legal and documented parts of our lives are where the government can really hurt us.

The right wing conspirators are still hard at work, bringing us not just paid lobbyists but paid agitators as well, all to no good purpose.

I think the voting machines themselves are where we really have to watch, and they will try to resurrect those cheating machines if they think they can get away with it.
Remember that guy who's company invented and owned those machines and was a big Bush supporter? He was supoenaed to testify before the Feds a few days before the election, and it was said that that was why Rove called off the planned theft in pennslyvania.

That guy died in a plane crash a few days after the election. I guess that's as good a way as any to quash an investigation. I'm beginning to think these american evil-doers don't really die; they just go to hell to regroup!sisterstationhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09903282211334995504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394397215181974749.post-28639016288877176512009-10-20T20:55:17.524-07:002009-10-20T20:55:17.524-07:00Great post. You have an uncanny talent for saying ...Great post. You have an uncanny talent for saying a lot with only a few words.

Some family property has been passed down for several generations. Recently we had to give up a portion of it for gas lines to traverse it.

Our compensation was low, just a few hundred dollars, but the benefit to the gas company is enormous.

Not only do they have access to the property in perpetuity, they get to sublease it, if they choose, for a profit, but we can't benefit, or have a say in how it's used.

Did I say that their access to the property must be unfettered, and that our use of the property must not in any way impinge on their right of way?

Here's the kicker: the government supports this nonsense, and suing rarely changes the inevitable outcome.

Eminent domain as the Supremes have recently ruled is unconstitutional, and further supports the government's steady intrusion into the rights of the populace.

And I'll never believe that 'W' knew nothing about al-Qaeda's plans, and the players.

Remember the female FBI agent that testified before Congress that she sent info up-chain regarding Arabs in flight schools who wanted to fly planes, but had no interest in landing or taking off?

I believe they knew, but thought it would be nothing more than a hostage taking. That's a guess.

And you're right about it giving Bush and company a pretext to attack Iraq, which was his goal before and after coming into office.

Sisterstation, I hope the American people stay smart. We have a few key elections on the horizon that're hotly contested. We'll see just how far to the Right or the Left the country is drifting, and "if stupid is as stupid does."Black Diasporahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08890792781361839105noreply@blogger.com
